ABWA Spring Conference Program 2026

24 2026 Virtual Spring Conference The American Business Women’s Association (ABWA) www.abwa.org ©2026 ABWA LLC League Development SATURDAY, MARCH 28, 2026 | 3:00 PM–4:00 PM LEADERSHIP TOPICS Conference Attendees will self-select a breakout session from each content block. Handouts and resources from the sessions will be available to all attendees. Building the Bridge: Bringing ABWA’s Core Values to Life When Ideas Collide Cindy Schmitt, Florida’s First Coast Area Council will lead a conversation-style session all about the moments when the chapter meeting gets a little tense and opinions start to clash. Cindy will talk about how ABWA’s core values actually show up in real life—around the table, in discussion, and even in disagreement. Together, we’ll walk through everyday scenarios, share experiences, and practice ways leaders can listen, acknowledge different viewpoints, and still keep the group focused on respect, professionalism, and our shared purpose. You’ll walk away with simple, practical ideas to help members feel heard, lower the temperature when things get heated, and turn conflict into productive conversation—so ABWA truly stays a place to grow and a place to belong for everyone. Stepping Up: The Many Paths to Leadership in ABWA Past National Presidents Anne O’Neil, Rachelle Jamerson-Holmes, Cheryl Blair, and Casey Coven talk about their experience in leadership roles at the league and national level. From how they got started on a leadership path to missteps they made along the way, and all the lessons learned—these women know that there are many roads to success—let their experiences help shape yours.
